In my previous post, I covered the Xbox Game Pass and why it’s worth your money. Prices, as well as perks and benefits, and the wide array of games available to play. Today, I’m bringing you a list of top 4 must-play games on Xbox Game pass right now. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Assassin’s Creed: Origins
This is probably THE best entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. This action-packed title takes you back to ancient Egypt, where you can explore a vast and beautiful world filled with history, mythology, and intrigue. It offers a compelling story, deep combat mechanics, and stunning visuals to keep you engaged for hours.
The game tells the story of Bayek, a Medjay, as he makes it his mission to seek revenge for the death of his son. In his quest, he uncovers a conspiracy that could threaten Egypt’s stability. Along the way, you’ll find a massive, detailed world filled with ancient ruins, tombs, and pyramids you can explore to you heart’s content.
The combat aspect of the game is a bit more challenging than previous entries, focusing more on tactical decision-making. You always have options on how to take out the nearby guards. You can go about it the old silent assassin way, go into sniper mode and shoot off a few arrows from afar, or straight up running
in “swords blazing”. Either way, the fighting definitely guarantees you a grand old time.
There are also a variety of side quests that add plenty to do in Bayek’s journey. If you don’t feel like getting into a story mission right away, you can always take on these side quests, or do a little exploring of your own. I’ve found many interesting and useful things while out and about in this game, and I’m sure if you decide to play, it will be well worth your time. Assassin’s Creed: Origins is one game I really immersed myself in, and spent a lot of time playing. I can guarantee that you will too.
Batman: Arkham Knight
This game puts you in the shoes of the Dark Knight himself, as he fights to save Gotham City from the clutches of Scarecrow and the mysterious Arkham Knight. The gigantic open-world features some of Gotham City’s most iconic locations, such as Wayne Tower and Ace Chemicals.
The game’s combat system is immensely fluid and satisfying, offering a variety of gadgets and abilities to use. This includes the batmobile itself. The takedown moves at your disposal are also a good way to get 
rid of enemies from up above, or down under. There are numerous ways to fight off Gotham’s most ruthless thugs.
I find that the story is one of the strongest aspects of the game. It features a cast of memorable characters, and a plot that’s both engaging and emotional. The side missions and the optional content really provide more depth to the game’s world and characters, with each side mission feeling unique and rewarding.
If you’re a fan of the Arkham series, or enjoy a good action-adventure title, you will definitely want to get your hands on this one. Whether tearing through the streets of Gotham in the batmobile, or tussling with a few enemies hand-to-hand, Arkham Knight is an unforgettable experience you won’t want to miss.
Mortal Kombat 11
Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest entry in the long-running fighting game franchise. It includes a sizable roster of over 30 characters, each with their own unique moves and fatalities. The title also brings an intriguing story mode, as well as a variety of multiplayer modes, such as one-on-one battles and team-based fights.
One feature that adds appeal to MK11 is the ability to customize characters’ moves and appearances, adding even more depth to the game. You also have a variety of different accessories to choose from. Everything from face masks, to swords and daggers, you’ll love spending some time deciding which look to go with for your favorite “kombatant”.
The story mode follows on from the previous game in the series. It’s quite an immersive experience that takes players through a cinematic narrative, with plenty of action and drama. Players will control various different characters, as they attempt to stop the sinister Kronika from manipulating time and rewriting history. One that doesn’t include the thunder god himself, Raiden.
Overall, Mortal Kombat 11 is a very polished and enjoyable fighting game. It offers a wealth of content for both new players and veteran fans of the franchise. Although nothing beats the nostalgia of pulling off fatalities on the SNES and Sega Genesis, this one is very much worth checking out in next-gen.
Halo Infinite
The latest installment in the iconic franchise, Halo Infinite promises to be the ultimate Halo experience. Players once again take on the role of the beloved Master Chief, as they battle against a new threat to humanity. With its new open-world gameplay and dynamic weather system, this game is a guaranteed hit with fans of the series.
Unlike the previous Halo games, which were more linear in their design, this entry offers a vast and seamless environment for you to explore. Taking place on a mysterious Halo ring, players can traverse on foot or by using vehicles. While on your journey, you’ll encounter many enemies and challenges along the way.
Halo Infinite also features a new multiplayer experience. This mode includes classic Halo multiplayer modes such as Slayer and Capture the Flag, as well as new modes like Big Team Battle and Total Control. Grab your gaming buds and get ready to shoot off those neat pulse carbines!

I had never played a Halo game in my life before this, but I have to say, it didn’t take me long to get hooked. I really recommend giving this game a try. You’ll be glad you did!
